The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy Community-Based Research Program is sponsoring several upcoming continuing education conferences in partnership with the Mississippi State Department of Health, Chronic Disease Bureau, Delta Health Collaborative.
The first is a Community and Clinical Linkages Conference that will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Hilton Hotel in Jackson. The conference will be a one-day interprofessional seminar on linking clinicians and clinical-based resources within the community setting to increase access and help provide greater continuity of care. The conference will be from 9am to 3pm with lunch provided. There will be 5 hours of FREE CE offered for medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work. There will also be two offerings of the Hypertension Summit this year. Each will be a one-day interprofessional seminar focusing on team-based hypertension initiatives. The first is on Thursday, September 28 (Southaven – Baptist Hospital – Desoto), and the second is on Friday, September 29 (Greenwood – Alluvian Hotel). Both will be from 9am to 3pm each day with lunch provided. There will be 5 hours of FREE CE offered for medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work.
