The Mississippi Division of Medicaid (DOM) has submitted a State Plan Amendment (SPA) to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) concerning the new Medicaid pharmacy reimbursement. Effective April 1, 2017, and contingent upon approval from the CMS, the DOM will revise the payment methodology for prescription drugs. MIPA along with other pharmacy stakeholders have been working with DOM on this issue for the past two years.
